This is Tom. Artist, writer, playwright, musician, gaddabout, maverick and rogue, he has more pies than he has fingers to stick in them.
Heavy Love is Tom’s most recent offering to the world, a solo album ten years in the making yet landing at precisely the right moment. Giving voice to the question that we’re all on our knees screaming: What in the name of fuck is Going On?
With nods to towering heroes at once subtle and overt (think Marvin Gaye lighting Lou Reed’s lamp in the sheeting rain beneath Ian Dury’s cape), this epic romp of 13 tracks is equally familiar and fresh. Singing straight into the mouth of all the world’s monsters, while also making room for love - a spot of tea in sun dappled glade whilst the forest burns- this album is a vital take on the Now, that which came before and all that’s surely yet to come is held inside this aural collage with its haunted, searing hope and undeniable bombast.
Dig out your cagoule and follow the breadcrumbs into this mythic, raging soundscape.
